How we research and publish
Our aim is to make software choices and caption workflows understandable. Articles explain the task, practical steps, and relevant limitations.
Three clearly identified sources of coverage
- Documentation-based guides: provider documentation supports product-specific instructions. Our examples and delivery checks help apply those instructions.
- External creator perspectives: we link the original video or article, credit the creator, and identify archival material.
- Hands-on tests: when published, these must state what was tested, the method, and the limitations. Creator viewing notes summarize the linked original material.
AI and editorial responsibility
AI may assist with drafting, organization, and illustrations. It is not evidence that a feature works or that a product has been tested. Product claims and quotations require supporting sources. Illustrations do not replace software screenshots.
Sources, dates, and corrections
Product claims should link to relevant sources. A source-check date records when the supporting documentation was reviewed. If instructions no longer match your account, check the provider documentation and send us the page address and the discrepancy.
Commercial independence
Affiliate relationships, when introduced, must be disclosed near relevant recommendations. A commission is not a reason to omit limitations or recommend an unsuitable workflow.
