What we checked on LosslessCut 3.69.0

On Debian 13 (Xvfb) we opened a 36-second Seattle interview fixture (H.264 keyint=30 + AAC + soft captions), marked KEEP A (0–12 s) and KEEP B (24–36 s), and used Export+merge. The ffmpeg log showed -c copy on video, audio and subtitles, then concat copy. The merged MP4 held about 25.021 s container duration (not exact 24.000 s of keep), 720 video packets, and no near-black frames on the keyframe-aligned path. A mid-GOP project (end 12.5 / start 24.4) still used stream copy but pulled gray (#333) dead-air frames around 12.0–12.4 s in the output (735 packets). Separate-files mode wrote two MP4s; an MKV keep-merge retained subrip with cues retimed.

Limits from those runs: Success dialogs warn “Cutpoints may be inaccurate.” After export you still need to verify container duration, packet counts and junction frames—especially on mid-GOP cuts. Win/mac installers, mobile, large files, Smart Cut, network privacy and any HandBrake (or other) delivery encode were not tested on-site today.

Before installing

Official builds cover Windows, macOS and Linux; our lab used the GitHub Linux x64 tarball v3.69.0 only. Confirm architecture and release notes on the project site before a delivery machine switch.
